ROXY WEEK

July 11th – July 16th

 
Each year Roxy brings a special all girls week to Basecamp for 24 lucky girls aged 12 - 18. The weeks extras include; more professional girl coaches, the bonus of being outfitted head to toe in Roxy gear, meeting new friends passionate about riding and camping and of course an awesome riding environment where the girls can push each other while learning as a group. For the fourth year in a row the Roxy week at Basecamp was a huge success, all the female campers left clad in Roxy gear and smiles from ear to ear. Accommodations were stepped up this year and, the girls were able to stay in the newly renovated Roxy lakeside cabin with Roxy sheets, blankets and pillows. Learning new riding skills were easy behind our brand new Air Nautiques and shredding the rails in the Nike 6.0 slider lake. We had girls of all ages and skill levels come together to learn new tricks from Ontario`s top Female instructors. All of these girls could have given our boy campers a run for their money. A definite highlight was Basecamp`s version of MXC.

We had all 18 girls split off into 4 teams and compete against each other to win more free swag in the Roxy Tournament of Champions. Activities included; a massive group twister board, on lake obstacle course badminton and mini ramp bowling. The effects of this night left some of the girls sorer than riding 4 times a day. All teams battled valiantly knowing the top group would take home brand new Roxy jewelry. When all was said and done Roxy week was defiantly one of the best weeks in Basecamp history. Our team at camp and the team at Roxy are looking forward to topping last year’s excitement when Roxy week returns in 2010.
